With SCHMUCK2 the German artist Susan Pietzsch has initiated a platform for artistic projects that deal with the meaning of jewellery and the limits of the concept of jewellery in our contemporary society.

»SCHMUCK2 is a set of artistic principles that coalesced into a brand, now attached to numerous cross-disciplinary projects led by Susan Pietzsch, in collaboration with several other artists, some recurrent.«

Benjamin Lignel in his foreword to the interview with Susan Pietzsch for the publication spring/summer 16_green gold.

SCHMUCK2 puts its focus on the latest developments in the field of jewellery and brings together in its interdisciplinary projects representatives from different cultural areas. The intention of this process is the multi-faceted presentation of jewellery as a phenomenon that is based on unconventional and experimental concepts between fine and applied art.
